Recipe: Gluten Free, Low Carb Pizza by Ellen Picton, Healthaspire
Check out this gluten free, grain free, low carb pizza, loaded with good fats and protein.
Pizza Dough
150g ground almonds
1 tbsp corn flour (sieved) (makes the base crispy)
30g cheese of choice – if using vegan cheese, add 1 tsp olive oil
1 egg
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Mix all dough ingredients in a bowl until a sticky dough forms.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
Spoon the mixture onto the tray, cover with another sheet of paper, and roll out with a rolling pin — not too thick or thin.
Bake on the middle shelf for 10 minutes.
Peel off the top layer of greaseproof paper and add toppings.
Topping
100ml passata
2 tbsp pesto
Then decorate as you wish 🙂
(e.g. chorizo, peppers, red onions, cayenne pepper)10g grated cheese — you don’t need much as the base is already cheesy
Bake for another 5–10 minutes, slice, and serve!
